« Back to List

An up-to-date home inventory, or complete list of items in your home, can help you to decide the level of property insurance you need. In the event of damage to personal property in your home, the inventory can make it easier to file a claim and get reimbursed for your losses.

The lists below group items by the room in which they are most likely to be found or items by a category. Beside the items you have in your house, you will need to write a brief description of the item, when and where it was bought and the make or model number. For items like books, CDs, sheets or pots and pans, you can make a general estimate of how many you have and their estimated value.
