Cayce, S.C. – Farm Bureau Insurance honored Brent Branham, agency manager for Abbeville and Laurens Counties, with their prestigious MAPS Award. The award was announced March 5 at the company’s annual statewide sales conference held at the Sonesta Resort in Hilton Head Island. Branham was one of two agents to receive the MAPS Award, the company’s highest award of excellence.

“This award gives me a sense of accomplishment, and that puts a smile on my face,” Branham said. “It’s truly the greatest honor I could receive in my career. More than anything I thank my parents who taught me about character and integrity, which represents what this award is truly about.”

The MAPS Award honors select agents who demonstrate a daily commitment to providing the highest level of customer service. Those recognized exemplify traits like trustworthiness, sincerity and honesty.

“Any insurance company can sell a policy, but it’s the people behind the policy that matters most, and it’s what makes us unique as a company,” Bill Courtney, chief executive officer, said. “Brent and agents like him are our company’s most valuable asset.”

Branham began his career with Farm Bureau Insurance in 2009 as an agent in Chapin and Newberry. In addition to Branham, David Newton, an agent in Florence County was also honored as a 2020 MAPS Award recipient.
