Commercial Automobile Insurance

The South Carolina Farm Bureau Insurance Companies were organized to be of service to farmers and farm - related individuals and businesses. These individuals and businesses are still the focus of our commercial auto insurance program. We strive to provide the most comprehensive auto coverage possible for farmers and farm related businesses. Knowing and understanding the coverages we have available, will help you to customize an insurance plan to meet your unique auto insurance needs.

Liability Coverage: Pays others for accidental bodily injury and property damages for which an insured is legally responsible.

Medical Payments Coverage: Pays for medical and funeral expenses, related to an auto accident involving a covered auto, regardless of who was at fault in the accident. This is an especially valuable coverage for farmers or small businesses where workers' compensation coverage is not required.

Uninsured Motorists Coverage: Pays for damages for covered persons resulting from an auto accident caused by an at fault driver who does not have liability insurance or is a hit and run driver.

Underinsured Motorists Coverage: Pays for damages for covered persons resulting from an auto accident caused by an at fault driver who does not have sufficient liability limits to pay for damages.

Collision Coverage: Pays for damage to a covered vehicle caused by accidental collision with another object, or upset of the vehicle.

Comprehensive Coverage: Pays for damage to a covered vehicle, except when caused by collision or upset. This coverage typically includes among other things, fire, theft, animal collision, and glass breakage.

Deductibles

The deductible is the amount of the loss for which you are responsible.

Limits

Auto Liability limits are expressed in thousands of dollars of coverage. The first number refers to the maximum amount payable to any one person; the second number refers to the maximum amount payable to all persons with a liability claim. The third number refers to the maximum amount payable for property damage, such as another person's car. Some sample liability limits are: 15/30/15, 25/50/25, 50/100/25, 100/300/100, and 250/500/250. Uninsured and underinsured motorist coverages also express limits in the same way.

There are also other available coverage options to further customize your insurance plan. For more information, please contact your local South Carolina Farm Bureau Insurance Companies agent.
